It’s true that my films are now shown, albeit late, in all prestigious American universities. Honestly, which one of us has never been seduced by Fred Astaire’s elegance or by Cyd Charisse’s legs? Then came injustice, double standards and the inexplicable shift against the declared enemy. Can one resent a fervent lover of the USA who feels cheated and angered at watching his dream transgressed again and again with total impunity ?
