The daughter of actress Ludmila Mikaël, Marina Hands joined the "Cours Florent", France's renowned actors' workshop, when she was 19. She attended Muriel Mayette's classes at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique, before leaving for London to hone her acting skills at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.
