ANDRÉ TÉCHINÉ - Director & Screenwriter


Born in Valence d’Agen in France on 13.3.1943. He was editor of the film peri-
odical Cahiers du Cinéma from 1964-67. He worked as an assistant director for
Jacques Rivette and began directing his first stage productions in Paris. At the
beginning of the 1970s he began working as a screenwriter, director and lecturer
in Paris. He has since come to be regarded as one of France’s most experimental
filmmakers.
