IN MEMORY OF ME is Saverio Costanzo’s second feature film. His debut feature 'Private' won
the 2004 Locarno Festival’s Golden Leopard, as well as a Best Actor prize for Mohammed Bakri.
Saverio was also honored with the coveted David di Donatello (Italian Academy Awards) for
Best New Director.
Born in Rome on September 28, 1975, Saverio studied communications and sociology at the Uni-
versity of Rome 'La Sapienza'. He graduated in 1998 with a thesis on Italian-Americans in Brook-
lyn. He lived in New York for two years, where he made a documentary and worked as a
cameraman.
