Dekalog, from the acclaimed director of the 'Three Colours' trilogy, Krzysztof Kieslowski, has been hailed as a masterpiece the world over. Loosely based on the Ten Commandments, the ten hour-long films are powerful and profound stories about ordinary people leading their everyday lives which explore the themes of love, loss, guilt, faith and compassion.

Stanley Kubrick praised Kieslowski and his co-writer Krzysztof Piesiewicz for their 'very rare ability to dramatise their ideas rather than just talking about them... They do this with such dazzling skill, you never see the ideas coming and don't realise until much later how profoundly they have reached your heart.'

Dekalog 6: Thou shalt not commit adultery
- Featuring a superb score by Zbigniew Preisner, Kieslowski's interpretation of 'Thou Shalt Not Commit Adultery' affectingly explores the themes of love and voyeurism.
Dekalog 7: Thou shalt not steal

Dekalog 8: Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour

Dekalog 9: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife
- Roman, a successful, thirty-something heart surgeon learns that his sexual dysfunction problems are permanent and incurable. This leads to fears, jealousy and self-doubt.
Dekalog 10: Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s goods

º This 2 disc set features the final five films, including the hour-long version of
A SHORT FILM ABOUT LOVE and also an exclusive interview with Kieslowski,
one of the last he ever gave.
