1958-1963: collaborates at the Cahiers du Cinéma and L’Air of Paris.
Assistant to Jean-Luc Godard for 'Les Carabiniers'.
Directs two short B & W 16 mm films.
In 1963, creates the production company Les Films du Losange.
Produced the first two fables of Eric Rohmer.
Nominated for Best Director Oscar and Golden Globe for 'Reversal of Fortune'.
