'Pete and Dolly's' is a roadside tavern in upstate New York, where Victor, an overweight pizza chef maintains his daily vigil. Under the eye of his domineering mother Dolly (Shelley Winters), Victor cooks an elaborate breakfast for her every morning and does whatever she says. Then Callie (Liv Tyler), a beautiful college dropout comes into his life.
Victor soon becomes obsessed with her, and as circumstances in his life change, conflicts begin to erupt, and Victor must face the world around him with a changed view and a different perspective.
