WHEN THE CAT'S AWAY

A smash hit at the 1996 Berlin Film Festival, ‘When the Cat’s Away’ is about attractive but lonely Chloe and the search for her missing cat. Hating the mundanity of her make-up job, and the snooty models at the agency at which she works, Chloe decides to take a break from the city. Her gay flat mate Michel, who has just split from his lover, won’t look after Chloe’s cat, so she is forced to look elsewhere. But when she leaves Gris-gris with absent minded Mme Renée, she returns to find her cat missing… Subsequently the entire neighbourhood of the Bastille orchestrates a hunt for Gris-gris with hilarious and heart warming results.
