BEYOND THE CLOUDS, Michelangelo

through four stories of love and illusion.
In the openining vignette, two beautiful
young lovers are unable to consummate
their passion because the young man pre-
fers to imagine a perfection that reality
could never match.
In the second story John Malkovich's character stalks a woman (Sophie Marceau) who tells him that she murdered her father.

In the third, Peter Weller tries to appease the demands of his wife (Fanny Ardant) and mistress
(Chiara Caselli).
In the final story, Vincent Perez plays a young man, besotted by a woman (Irène Jacob) who is
soon to enter a convent.
