A former philosophy tutor, McPherson's plays include the Olivier Award winning 'The Weir' which played to great acclaim in the West End and on Broadway. His first screenplay was 'I Went Down', Ireland's most successful independently produced film. After his most recent play 'Port Authority' was produced in London, he is currently working on a second feature film, 'Actors'.
